Eltons Eating + Drinking thrives in a heritage building built in 1896 which boasts unique historical character unachievable by modern buildings today. Originally the two story building was home to family owned ‘Eltons Pharmacy’ until 1992 when it was converted into one of Mudgee’s many iconic cafes. For over 12 years, Elton’s Brasserie was a favourite destination for locals & tourists alike until it was closed in early 2014.
The Eltons of today opened after extensive renovation in November 2014. Owners Brent & Dani Rowlands returned to their home town to put their own stamp on ‘Eltons’. With over 28 years combined experience in the hospitality industry, they set out to create a vibrant destination venue, with a difference.
Head Chef Juanita Thompson & her team strive to offer Eltons guests an effortlessly interesting, casual & fresh menu using regional produce where possible.
The ever changing menu is designed around an emphasis on sharing, allowing the guest to choose their style of dining. With many Share + Start options & ordering small dishes to share over the course of a few hours with a bottle or 2 of local wine is the best way to experience Elton’s dining trend.
Offerings in beverages include 6 taps pouring craft beer sourced from small brewers Australia wide which are continuously changing as each keg pours its last drop. Fine wines from our glorious Mudgee Region, along with Australia wide options sit prominently behind the bar along with a wide selection of cocktails, spirits & liquors.
The ever evolving Eltons simply offers what they promise – Eating + Drinking.
